This summer, State Printing and Central Mail Services was faced with a challenging task. The team was asked to print hundreds of thousands of birth and death certificates for Department of Health and Senior Services satellite offices around the state — all on an extremely tight deadline.

Normally, they have a month to complete the job. The team was given 10 days.

FMDC Maintenance Supervisors receive special award from NASA for work during 2017 solar eclipse

Landon Hance and Paul Ridenhour receive special award

Landon Hance and Paul Ridenhour, maintenance supervisors with the Division of Facilities Maintenance, Design, & Construction (FMDC), recently received special recognition from NASA for their work supporting the 2017 solar eclipse event at the State of Missouri Capitol.

Hance and Ridenhour each received NASA’s Group Achievement Award as well as a special certificate of appreciation. The Group Achievement Award is a “prestigious NASA certificate awarded to any combination of Government and/or non-Government individuals for an outstanding group accomplishment that has contributed substantially to NASA's mission,” according to NASA’s website.

ITSD team overcomes unique challenges to provide new customer-friendly system for Surplus Property

ITSD Team

Team members from the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) overcame some unique challenges to create a new, web-based tool that gives Surplus Property’s customers better access to state property available for reuse.

The talented ITSD Team — made up of Aaron Stalter, Mike Adams, Lynn Ratchford, Phil Seeley, Leslie Berhorst, and Jacob Hodgen — created a system that is totally focused on the customer. The new system, called MOREuse, is tailored to the customers’ needs, better connects them with what they’re looking for, and reduces the number of emails in their inboxes — all while saving Surplus Property time.
